Lao Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong is welcomed by Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. The two leaders met at Thailand’s Nong Khai province at a Buddhist traditional ritual by offering prayers and alms to monks. Yingluck Shinawatra and her Government officials paid their respect and offered prayers to the shrine of Somdet Kiaw who passed away on August 10 at the age of 85. The revered Buddhist monk was born on March 3, 1928 in Koh Samui district of Surat Thani province.
