Thai Prime Minister at a formal gathering of Swiss and Thai business leaders. Yingluck Shinawatra said Switzerland is a major market for Thailand’s exports gems and jewelry, clothes and home decoration items, becoming Thailand’s second largest trading partner in Europe and the ninth in the world.
Switzerland and Thailand have enjoyed close relations for more than 80 years. Thailand is home to Asia’s largest Swiss expatriate community and is a favorite destination for Swiss tourists.
