EC wants annulment of Bangkok city election victory

‎Sukhumbhand Paribatra has ceased performing his duties as Bangkok Governor after the Appeals Court agreed to accept a case filed by the Election Commission asking that his election win be annulled. The case accuses him of breaching the Local Election Act in campaigning for the March 3, 2013 governor election.

The court can reject the EC’s request or order a new city election.
