There is no point in the caretaker government nominating 10 “neutral” people to mediate political peace talks, since anti-government protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban has flatly rejected the proposal by six independent organisations, caretaker Prime Minister Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra.
Good point. Fact is Mr. Suthep does not want peace. The PDRC chief will only accept his condition which is to replace election with selection. His model of so-called reform is removing any elected government and to be replaced by an unelected council.
In light with the word “neutral” let us face the second fact. There is no such thing as neutrality in Thai politics, more so when people are selected by politicians with ulterior motive. Any who say that 10 mediators are “neutral” is an amateur in this brutal arena.
