Claims to be a monk, dresses like a monk but is a thug

Luang Pu Buddha Issara will rally today at the Office of the Auditor-General demanding faster progress in the agency’s probe into the rice-pledging scheme.‎

The disgraced monk, who is co-leader of the so-called People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), has a short but scandalous history of collecting extortion money from businesses. Luang Pu uses his mob to apply pressure to local companies to extract money.

His presence at the Office of the Attorney-General later today brings about the hypocrisy of the PDRC cause especially on corruption matters. ‎The monk has resorted to arm-twisting intimidation and public ridicule tactics in the name of the people.

The authorities must arrest Luang Pu for his crimes and the religious fear he has created. A man dresses like a monk, ‎proclaims to be a monk but behaves like a street gangster. This is not Buddhism.
