Health workers want Thai Gov’t to accept responsibility of deaths

Doctors, nurses and some health officials from Phitsanulok, Phetchaburi and Pathum Thani went public on Wednesday to condemn violence in the wake of the tragic incidents that left four children dead and called on the Caretaker Government to take responsibility.

Their selective blame on the Government smells of their political bias and deep affiliation to the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC). Rather than equally telling all parties to stop violence, they singled out the Government as the sole recipient of responsibility.

They failed to mentioned that Caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck had on many occasion pleaded with PDRC chief, Mr. Suthep Thaugsuban, to resort to dialogue rather than street anarchy.

Just yesterday Mr. Suthep rejected all appeals to peacefully solve the political problems and has called for more street protests. PDRC’s ultimate goal is to abolish democracy and install an unelected council.
