The Erawan emergency medical centre has place the casualty toll at 19 killed and 717 people injured since November 30, 2013.
The casualty is caused by the political violence associated with the insurrection call from the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC). This group is led by a former Democrat Party leader, Mr. Suthep Thaugsuban.
The figures included the 3 people who died and 21 injured in the bomb explosion near a local department store at the intersection of Ratchaprasong, Bangkok on Sunday.
Until we see all parties agreeing on peaceful dialogues to solve the political tensions, the violence may escalate into regular skirmishes in Thailand’s capital city.
The anti-democracy PDRC had previously called the Thai army to do a coup before the election of February 2 – which didn’t happen. It is predicted that PDRC will continue with their efforts to recruit influential individuals for a judicial coup. If successful this will allow PDRC to install an unelected council to rule Thailand.
