Democrat Party leader, Suthep Thaugsuban, has given his ultimatum to the Pheu Thai party during a rally speech at the Democracy Monument. Suthep demands that the Amnesty Bill be completely eliminated from the government by 6 pm on November 11.
Suthep further stated that a “people’s court” would be established in the middle of Ratchadamnoen Avenue in order to carry out judgement on former prime minister, Thaksin Shinawatra, and current prime minister, Yingluck Shinawatra. He advocates for vigilante justice and would fight anyone who is against the Democrat Party and their leader, Abhisit Vejjajiva.
He announced that the “people’s court” would be set up on November 11 at 6 pm . Should the people deem the two guilty of their past crimes, he would leave it to the crowd to decide what action to pursue. According to the organizers, the Democrat leadership is considering to offer a reward for those who “testify” in his kangaroo court.
