Thai PM in Mozambique Trade Visit

Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Yingluck Shinawatra and several other members of the Thai Government have arrived at Maputo city of Mozambique, which marks the first ever visit by a Thai Premier to African countries comprising Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda.

Accompanied by several Ministers including Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul (สุรพงศ์ โตวิจักษ์ชัยกุล), and Deputy Prime Dr. Plodprasop Suraswadi (ปลอดประสพ สุรัสวดี), Prime Minister Yingluck Minister on Sunday arrived at Maputo International Airport of Mozambique in her first visit to Mozambique, Tanzania, and Uganda, between July 28th to August 2nd; in the hope of strengthening economic ties between the 3 African countries and Thailand.

They were later taken to the city’s Craft, Flowers, and Food center, before meeting with representatives of the Thai private sector who accompanied her on the trip in order to exchange opinions on economic cooperation with the African countries during the visit.
