Excess monies have been used by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) for upgrading work that seems to be repetitive for the past 8 years. The system of public administration is subjected to multiple abuses and without transparency. How long will this go on and how much will be used at the expense of taxpayers’ money?
Now BMA is in the pipeline to spend more monies to enlarge the drains in the city to prevent flooding. It was reported that the department has received a flood-prevention plan (how many plans are there?) and will seek a budget to implement it. Conveniently the consultants who are pushing for their proposals are said to be connected to those “sitting on the top”.
This cycle of spending and favoring cronies must stop.
