Thailand’s National Cyber Security Meeting

The government has held the first ever national cyber security meeting at the government house, developing an 8-point strategy to reinforce the national security.

The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, encompasses 8 areas of cyber security which include establishing cooperation between relevant agencies and international organizations, maintaining online laws, supporting relevant researches, and raising awareness about online threats, just to name a few.

According to the news, the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (Public Organization) will spearhead the implementation of the strategy, while the Thai Computer Emergency Response Team (ThaiCERT) has been told to improve protection for all security units in Thailand against any threats, and the Royal Thai Police in maintaining the law online.
