Red Shirts rally towards the Thai Parliament

Red Shirt members of the Radio Broadcasters for Democracy movement were heading to the parliament with the intention of submitting a letter to the senate speaker demanding the removal of the nine Constitution Court judges.

As part of the Thai Government in freedom of peaceful assembly, the rally went on as planned, monitored by the police, though the numbers of demonstrators were reported below the 100,000 that was initially mentioned.

Sornrak Malaithong, the spokesman of the movement, said after submitting the letter the demonstrators would disperse. They would split up and journey separately to 20 provinces to gather signatures from the people to back the impeachment petition.
