The Democrat Party continues to puzzle the Thai people with its political scandals, outbursts and antics. Apparently the Democrat Party wants to write to all the foreign ambassadors in Thailand to denounce Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s speech about democracy when she was attending the 7th Ministerial Conference on the Community of Democracies.
Mr. Chawawanont (Democrat spokesman) said the premier’s speech has affected foreign investors’ confidence, and that the Democrat Party will provide an official clarification statement to the international community through their ambassadors in Thailand.
- How in the world did the Democrat Party and Chawawanont come to the conclusion that Yingluck’s speech about human rights, liberty and democracy affected “foreign investor’s confidence” as reported by NNT.
- If the global community had distrust with Yingluck’s Government, then why is that many foreign leaders, corporate captains and ministers have visited Thailand and paid tribute to the Prime Minister’s national social and economical achievements?
- What about the Democrat Party’s involvement with human rights abuses in the “Red Shirt” crackdown of 2010, the support for the military coup of 2006 and the corruption? Maybe this has been conveniently swept under the rug of the political elites.
