Pheu Thai party candidate, Pongsapat, for the Bangkok Governor election wasted no time in reaching out to Bangkokians through out the busy city. According to sources, many were happy to see him because he is public-friendly, easy to talk to and knows the issues affecting the urban society in Thailand’s capital.
Even Abhisit, the former Prime Minister, has no ammunition to stop the growing popularity of Pongsapat. It was reported in a local English news that Abhisit demanded that the Election Commission investigate “unwarranted promises” – that many find ironic as the Democrat Party‘s candidate, Sukhumbhand, was heard to have made such pledges.
Pongsapat nevertheless conducted many of his walkabouts in his mission to listen to the voices of the people and offer suggestions to overcome their problems. He is here to stay and he intends to win for the sake of Bangkokians and accountability of government.
