Bangkok’s elected Governor and its problems

Sukhumbhand Paripatra has one key attribute that has proved to be very useful in his job as Bangkok’s elected Governor: he doesn’t need much sleep. He can survive on four or five hours a night.

1. Bangkok seems to determine the outlook of Thailand but it is merely a city that has hidden problems.

2. The Governor should explain why rapid development in the city has failed to look after the poor, improve the quality of life for those living in the ghettos, the flood drama of 2011 and the growing challenges of urbanization.

3. This seems to be a propaganda-BBC video for the Governor. He will be facing the Governor’s election in September. I heard even the Democrats do not want him to re-contest.
